Misfit Music Inc. exists to ensure artists don’t have to build their careers alone.

We believe art is not a destination - it’s an extension of who you are. Our role is to help artists understand that, build from it, and evolve with intention.

Through artist-first strategy, infrastructure, and long-term thinking, we support music entrepreneurs in building sustainable careers rooted in identity, values, and real audience connection. We challenge the status quo by prioritizing clarity over hype, collaboration over gatekeeping, values over opportunity, and longevity over short-term wins.

We intentionally invest in underrepresented artists across Misfit Management, Misfit Live, and Odd Doll Records (label). Through our broader services, we help artists and music organizations build strategy, strengthen their tools, expand their networks, and move forward with greater clarity and direction.

Our team is made up of experienced music professionals with expertise spanning live performance, marketing, touring, funding, and systems development. Collectively, the team has received multiple industry nominations and awards, and the company has been recognized with a 2024 Western Canadian Music Award nomination for Impact in Artist Development and a 2025 Women in Music Canada Honours nomination for Organization of the Year.

TALIA
Executive Operations Manager

  • Talia joined Misfit Music Management in 2025 as Executive Assistant, supporting all aspects of our work. With a background as both an artist and creative administrator, she enables the Misfit team and artists to do their best work by creating innovative, people-centered systems that support their unique needs within an evolving music industry.

Before joining Misfit, Talia began building her own creative career as an artist, songwriter, producer, and dancer, bringing perspective and empathy to the challenges artists face while developing their careers. As a neurodivergent creative who relies and thrives on systems, she pairs this understanding with an affinity (some may say an obsession) for out-of-the-box organization. What began as a mission to rid her life of things she didn’t want to do became the realization that she could build a way of living that genuinely supports who she is. Now she brings that into her work, designing custom boxes rather than expecting people to fold. As a human, she's a perceptive, intuitive straight-shooter incapable of understanding subtext, yet oddly gifted at understanding people and making them feel seen.
