ELISE ROLLER (she / her)
CEO / ARTIST MANAGER + CONSULTANT

Elise Roller is the founder and CEO of Misfit Music Inc., an artist development and management company, servicing artists across Canada. In 2023, she was awarded Entrepreneur of the Year at the Women in Music Canada Honours, received Manitoba’s Kevin Walters Legacy award, and received a nomination for Manager of the Year from the Canadian Live Music Association.

Actively involved in the Canadian music scene since 2008, she built her entire music career as a single mom, cleaning homes around Calgary, AB to support her recording and touring endeavours as a solo artist and member of blues-rock band Go For The Eyes. She began dabbling in artist development and music business admin when recognizing her talent for networking, strategic planning, and ability to champion music peers. In 2015 she moved to Winnipeg, MB to become part of its thriving music scene and, there, she fronted heavy metal grunge band, Solhounds, for a couple years before throwing out the ripped jeans to put on a power suit.

In Winnipeg, Roller’s music career grew exponentially. She spent four years as the Industry Development Coordinator at Manitoba Music connecting music creators and industry on an international scale, building training programs for music entrepreneurs, and offering career development consultations to artists and music industry professionals. Among the many hats Roller has worn, she served four years as Pride Winnipeg’s main stage producer, has booked and managed tours for several Canadian acts, and has undertaken the management of many successful projects, from creative to live to production, for a variety of artists.

Roller started her hand at artist management as a side-hustle in 2019 and by 2021 she took the leap into full-time management and publicly launched Misfit Music MGMT with the announcement of its full-time roster and its Artist Evolution (AE) program. AE offers support to dedicated artists who require team support on a consistent basis offering mentorship, strategic planning, project management, and equipping them with the skills needed to manage their own careers.

Roller is a social butterfly, master networker, and has an innate ability to connect with anyone and everyone. Her drive for excellence along with her passion to motivate, inspire, and show appreciation for music creators has positioned her as a beloved leader and mentor within the global music community.
